Current Units of Study and/or lines of inquiry:
How We Express Ourselves
Here is the UNIT PLANNER with all of the things we will teach with this unit.
How We Organize Ourselves-Inquiry into the interconnectedness of human-made systems and communities; the structure and function of organizations; economic activities and their impact on humankind and the environment
Central Idea:
Resources and environmental change can impact communities.
What lines of inquiry will define the scope of the inquiry into the central idea?
An Inquiry Into:
- The reasons people and animals migrate
How natural resources impact communities - environmental change
What teacher questions/provocations will drive these inquiries?
- Why do people and/or animals move from one place to another?
How do living things share natural resources? - How do economic activities affect global development?
- How do living things interact, change and organize themselves over time?
IB units have started, with "Where We Are In Place and Time" as the theme.
Our current line of inquiry is: How do geographic tools help us to understand our world?
